My Boys love Magna-Tiles

As the father of 3 boys ages 9, 7, and 2, I get to see on a daily basis what toys hold there attention and what toys are played with once and then put aside. My boys received a set of 32 Magna-tiles as a gift about a year ago and they continually play with them again and again.

The boys loved them so much that we realized that the limited number of tiles was hampering their creativity. So Santa brought the 100 Magna-tiles set for Christmas last year. The boys were very, very, happy.

One negative is that the Magna-tiles sets are expensive ($1.50/tile in smaller sets). Due to the fact that the Magna-tiles are played with constantly, I believe they are a good value even if the original purchase is expensive.

Our personal favorite is the translucent or clear Magna-tiles, but the colored (opaque) tiles work and look well also. Our friends children have sets of Magna-tiles as well and they are just as popular in their house as they are in our home.
